This week's Flip Side 45 comes from 1985 John Cougar Mellencamp album, Scarecrow. "Rumbleseat" was the last single from the album and was released in 1986. It went to number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100. The flip side? A James Brown song called "Cold Sweat".

When this week's Flip Side 45 was released, Samantha Fox was already famous as a "glamour girl" in England and for her previous U.S.Top Five hit "Touch Me". From her second, self-title album, this week's hit side went to number 3, "Naughty Girls (Need Love Too)" and the flip side "Dream City".

Exposure on a British TV show The Big Time, helped her to get a recording contract and helped push her first two singles into the UK top ten. This weeks featured 45 peaked in the US at number 18 and it is "Modern Girl". the flip side, "Summer's Over".
